Eintracht Braunschweig v Wolfsburg: Expect goals in the Lions' den

Eintracht Braunschweig v Wolfsburg Monday May 29, 19:30 Live on BT Sport 2 Eintracht Braunschweig It's been fifty years since Eintracht Braunschweig's only Bundesliga title win, and they are desperate to celebrate with promotion. Coach  Torsten Lieberknecht  says that having amassed 66 points during the Bundesliga 2 season, his players deserve to be in the top flight next season. Although they lost Thursday's first leg 1-0 at the Volkswagen Arena, they competed well in the second half, and made chances to grab a precious away goal. The Lions have every reason to be confident ahead of the second leg at their Eintracht Stadion. They won 13 of their 17 league games at home, and they  scored in every single one.  You have to go back over a year for the last time they drew a blank at home. Their 23,000-capacity ground is sold out, and a sea of fans clad in yellow and blue will make their presence felt, especially as their visitors are from just down the road in Lower Saxo...

Huddersfield v Reading: Draw a likely outcome in tense Play-off final

Huddersfield v Reading Bank Holiday Monday 29th May, 15:00 Live on Sky Sports  Huddersfield Huddersfield are looking to return to the top-flight of English football for the first time since 1972 and could become the first Football League side in history to win promotion having  conceded more goals than they've scored  in the league. Terriers manager  David Wagner  believes his side winning promotion would be a similar "fairytale" to Leicester winning the Premier League last season and is pulling out all the stops to ensure his charges are ready for one final push. The German boss took his squad to Portugal for a mini training camp and instructed the groundsman at the club's Canalside training ground to alter the dimensions of the main pitch to match those of Wembley. By training at 3pm, the players have also experienced similar conditions to that expected in the capital. Wagner says he has no doubts his troops will handle the pressure of the big occasion but dou...

Crotone v Lazio Sunday, 19:45

I was going to steer clear of Crotone against Lazio, but I think there's a bet here in the game that will have much of the final day focus. Lazio need to win to make sure of fourth place in the League, while Crotone surely must beat them to have any chance of staying up. Empoli travel to Palermo, and should they lose there, then a draw would be enough for Crotone thanks to their superior head-to-head record (goal difference is irrelevant in Serie A). But if Empoli draw, then  Crotone must win . That would have seemed impossible a few weeks ago, but now that  Crotone have beaten Inter and drawn with Milan here , then they have an outside chance, particularly given the fact that the influential Keita Balde Diao is suspended for Lazio, along with Senad Lulic. Marco Parolo and Federico Marchetti are also injured, but Thomas Strakosha returns after missing last week's defeat to Inter with flu. Let's not forget that when these sides met in January, it took a last-gasp Ciro Immobi...

FA Cup Final: Back the Blues to seal domestic double

Arsenal v Chelsea Saturday, 17:30 Live on BBC One and BT Sport 2 Arsenal Another season, another unpredictable summer in store for Arsenal. The Gunners did their usual routine of turning it on in the final few weeks of the Premier League season, but for once it was not enough: Liverpool held firm in fourth and, for the first time since Arsene Wenger arrived as manager all those years ago,  the top four remained out of their grasp . The Frenchman hinted at behind-the-scenes disquiet in his press conference after the final-day win over Everton, but the likelihood is that he will sign a new contract at the Emirates in the weeks ahead. What that means for the team, with  Alexis Sanchez  seemingly angling for a move and  Mesut Ozil  yet to put pen to paper on his new deal, is anyone's guess. Before all that, of course, there is the welcome distraction of another FA Cup final - Arsenal's third in four seasons. Their hopes of making it a hat-trick of ...

Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund: Eagles to build a wall in Berlin

Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Dortmund Saturday 27 May, 19:00 Live on BT Sport ESPN Eintracht Frankfurt This time last season, Eintracht Frankfurt were  fighting for survival  in a Bundesliga playoff against second-tier side Nurnberg. Fast forward a year, and they are preparing for their first major cup final since 2006, having finished well clear of relegation trouble this term. Having steered the Eagles through that playoff against Nurnberg, coach  Niko Kovac  set about galvanising not just the squad, but the entire club. Working with sporting director Bruno Hubner and former Germany striker Fredi Bobic,  Kovac has injected new life into an organisation that was drifting. Youngsters like defender  Jesus Vallejo  and forward Ante Rebic have been brought in on loan to good effect, and astute pickups like holding midfielder Omar Mascarell and forward Branimir Hrgota have become effective cogs in the machine. Although Frankfurt have twice...
