Underdogs to excel in playoff clash

Sweden wasn't quite as kind to us this time around, as Hacken drew 1-1 with AIK last night, leaving us a goal short. The frustrating thing is that the scoreline was 1-1 in the 56th minute. What's Swedish for "it's the hope that kills you?"
Anyway, we'll stay in Scandinavia, and take in a Danish promotion/relegation clash between Superliga strugglers Silkeborg and high-flying Esbjerg.
Esbjerg went down last season, but are making a decent fist of winning promotion at the first attempt. They finished second in the First Division, and only lost one of their last ten matches of the campaign.
Silkeborg won their final game of the first playoff section, but that was against the only team in their Superliga playoff group with a worse record than them, and they have only won one of their last six games. They finished the Superliga regular season with a run of just one victory in ten.
Esbjerg have the momentum, and have won four of their last five away games, so they certainly won't be overawed here. Silkeborg's price of 2.16 to win the first leg seems largely based on their Superliga status rather than current form, so I'll back the visitors to pick up a result on the Double Chance market.

Goals in Confederations Cup : Spain vs Uruguay 2-1

Tottenham’s Dele Alli eyes Premier League debut at Manchester United

It was quite the opening statement. Dele Alli, 24 minutes into his first start in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt, suckered in Luka Modric of Real Madrid, nutmegged him and accelerated away. The 70,000 sell-out crowd at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena roared at the 19-year-old’s sheer impudence. "We had a laugh about it in the tunnel afterwards; he was very good about it,” Alli said. "He shook my hand and said to me: ‘You little bugger’ – or something like that. I didn’t shout ‘nuts’ when I did it. I used to do that when I was young and get told off for it." As Alli spoke at the Allianz after Tuesday’s 2-0 Audi Cup victory, some of Real’s galácticos filed past. This time last year the midfielder was preparing for MK Dons’ League One season opener against Gillingham. His previous competitive game was for MK against Yeovil in May. Alli says “unreal” and “surreal” on a number of occasions and it is little wonder. This is a young player of conviction. If the nutmeg on one of...
