International Champions Cup Betting: Liverpool can beat depleted Man Utd

International Champions Cup games, Saturday 28th July

PSG missing attacking trio

Arsenal 2.22 v Paris St-Germain 2.94; The Draw 3.85
Kick off 12:35, Live on Premier Sports
Arsenal and PSG lost their respective opening ICC games, though the Gunners were only defeated by Atletico Madrid thanks to a penalty shootout. Having gone a goal behind, Arsenal fought back to draw 1-1, after their 17-year old academy product Emile Smith-Rowe scored a brilliant goal to level the scores.
PSG were defeated 3-1 by Bayern Munich and have few options in attack, with the likes of Edison Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar all resting after the World Cup. Arsenal should have a more balanced team then, yet this remains a difficult match to predict. With that in mind, play it safe by backing under 3.5 goals, which is available at 1.60.

Old Lady can win again

Benfica 4.30 v Juventus 1.92; The Draw 3.50
Kick off 18:05
Both Benfica and Juventus kicked off their ICC campaigns with victories, but it was the Italians who were the most impressive. Juventus looked short of attacking options with many of their star players yet to return for pre-season, yet their new 21-year old forward Andrea Favilli stepped up and delivered in their absence, with a brilliant display in which he scored both goals in a 2-0 victory.
Benfica's victory over Borussia Dortmund came via penalties, after they fought back from being two goals down, to score twice in the second-half. The Portuguese giants benefitted from the amount of changes Dortmund made as the game went on, but should find Juventus to be made of sterner stuff. Back a Juve victory at 1.92.

Chelsea could struggle against fitter rivals

Chelsea 2.24 v Internazionale 3.30; The Draw 3.50
Kick off 19:05, Live on Premier Sports
Both Chelsea and Inter play their first ICC games on Saturday, but the Italians should be the fitter side having played far more pre-seasons games this summer. Chelsea's 1-0 victory over Perth Glory on Monday, was their first game. In contrast, Inter have already played four.
The Premier League team's sole pre-season fixture was in Australia and they have since flown to France, with the match against Inter taking place in Nice. Inter should be by far the fitter side considering Chelsea's less than perfect preparations and look good value in the Double Chance market at 1.71.

Liverpool attack can hurt bitter rivals

Manchester United 3.30 v Liverpool 2.12; The Draw 3.75
Kick off 22:05, Live on LFC TV and MUTV
Manchester United claimed victory against AC Milan in their first ICC match, but only through winning a penalty shootout, after drawing 1-1. It was United's third successive draw of pre-season and with Anthony Martial having flown back to France at attend the birth of his second child, Jose Mourinho's squad has lost a valuable attacking option, at a time when they are already weakened thanks to the World Cup.
Liverpool picked up their first tournament win against Manchester City, as they came back from being a goal down to win 2-1. Mohamed Salah scored the equaliser, just seconds after coming off the bench in the 62nd minute, as the Egyptian superstar rebuilds his fitness. Sadio Mane also came off the bench to score and with Liverpool boasting a balanced team with plenty of firepower, back them to win and for there to be over 2.5 goals, at 2.90.

Southampton v Arsenal: Gunners set for a night of frustration

Southampton v Arsenal Wednesday, 19:45 Southampton  Claude Puel has done a decent job at Southampton this season, but his future at the club could rest on how well his team performs in their last four games of the season. The Saints can finish as high as eighth or as low as 16th. A bottom-half finish could be enough to seal the fate of the former Nice manager, with rumours suggesting that the club hierarchy are considering his future. It's true that Southampton's Premier League campaign has been rather underwhelming, with the side struggling to find any consistency this season, yet Puel did guide them to the EFL Cup final. He's inherited a weaker squad than previous managers enjoyed, which has lacked firepower for much of the season. Charlie Austin could return against Arsenal to help to solve that problem, while the defender Matt Targett is another player in contention. Virgil can Dijk remains out. Arsenal The Gunners gave themselves hope o...
