Andrew Hughes is back with another weekend treble and he's backing Atlanta to be too strong for Wayne Rooney's DC United in Saturday's MLS clash.
Bet 1: Back Atlanta United to beat DC United at 1.36
If you're looking for a football fix to sustain you between the end of the World Cup and the start of the European seasons, it's worth checking out MLS, and you can get up to speed with the latest tips and previews on the Betting.Betfair MLS page.
This has been a rare positive week for DC United fans, with the unveiling of their new stadium and the arrival of Wayne Rooney, and they were also able to celebrate a 3-1 victory over Vancouver, to mark the opening of Audi Field.
But Saturday's challenge is altogether different. Atlanta United have made a big impact in just their second MLS season and are currently top of the Eastern Conference, thanks largely to the prolific form of Josef Martinez. Atlanta were held to a disappointing draw by Seattle in their last game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but DC United offer less of a challenge and a home win looks a solid bet.
Bet 2: Back Newcastle Knights to beat Gold Coast Titans at 1.91
There's plenty of rugby league action this weekend and you can catch all the latest previews and tips on the Betting.Betfair rugby league pages.
This is likely to be a tight contest between two mid-table sides desperate to keep their slim play-off hopes alive. The Titans have been up and down all campaign, but they have hit a downturn at just the wrong time, losing consecutive games to the Broncos and the Roosters, and look low on confidence at the moment.
By contrast, the Knights will be boosted by their stirring victory over the Eels last time out and with Mitchell Pierce back in the line-up and a home crowd to roar them on, they should have the edge here.
Bet 3: Back Highlanders to beat Waratahs at 1.83
The Waratahs pulled off a famous 41-12 victory when they met the Highlanders during the Super Rugby regular season, so will be confident when they meet the New Zealanders in Saturday's quarter-final.
But the outcome this time round is likely to be different. The Highlanders suffered from an early red card for Tevita Nabura in that game, so we probably can't read too much into the result. While they haven't been at their best in recent outings, the Highlanders will be strengthened by the return of All Blacks Ben Smith, Aaron Smith and Luke Whitelock, who were rested last time.
The Waratahs have an excellent record in this year's competition, but that is largely down to the quirks of the format. Seven of their nine wins have come against other teams in the Australian Conference, but they have struggled against overseas opponents, and I'm expecting the visitors to knock them out.
